The qualified San tour guides will take you through the nature reserve and tell you about our ancestors who lived in this region for 200,000 years. The tour takes 45 minutes. Plus, you can forage the foods using the tools supplied. 

ENJOY HORSEBACK RIDING ON A WOLWEFONTEIN FARM

Come and enjoy a scenic ride on a local West Coast farm. Book a saddle experience for the whole family at Wolwefontein Farm. You’ll find this stunning farm between Darling and Yzerfontein. Walk along the coastal edge of Yzerfontein. The Schaap Eiland Hiking Trail is approximately two kilometres long, starting from the main beach. You can spot many indigenous bird species and walk past a number of fishing coves: Blaasgat, Hoëbank, Starck’s Bank, Duiwenes, and many more. The trail ends at Schaap Eiland. 

VISIT THE OLD HARBOUR

Pop by the historical Old Harbour and watch local fishermen tow their fishing-boats and offload their catch. It is a hive of activity and an unforgettable experience when snoek is in season.You can also spot small-craft harbours allowing for the launch of boats and jet skis.
