The Happy Cactus House – 12 sleeper Accommodation

The Happy Cactus is a very spacious 6 bedroomed house that can accommodate up to 12 guests. It is nestled in the old part of Yzerfontein, and is centrally located to all amenities with less than 3min walk to the Beach, shops and restaurants.

The spacious House comprises of 3en-suite bedrooms, 2 of which are on the ground level. One of the rooms is wheelchair friendly. The other 4 bedrooms are upstairs and the main bedroom has a balcony overlooking the beautiful view of the natural fynbos. It has its own ensuite bathroom with a Bath and a shower. The other 3 bedrooms are very spacious 2 have Queen sized Beds and one has 2 single beds. The 3 Bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom with a Shower only.

The open-plan living area consists of a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, and the lounge has a TV DStv. The living area opens onto a stoep that is partially covered, and has braai facilities.

The house is surrounded by natural fynbos on two sides and is perfect for early morning Bird Watching. The House is equipped and offers the following:

Thank you very much for arranging a wonderful stay at the Happy Cactus. It was a special occasion of our sons 18th birthday, and we all had a super time. The home was eclectic, warm, welcoming and well equipped for our needs. Guest arrival and checkout were handled seamlessly – and it was a generally excellent experience.

we had a wonderful weekend at the Happy Cactus. The house has everything needed for a very pleasant stay and all ten of us agreed that it deserves full marks. Calli met us, explained everything to us and we had a most enjoyable stay. All of us will without any hesitation recommend the house for a large group of people. It is well-located, well maintained and excellent value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at the Happy Cactus. The house is lovely. Plenty of space and the rooms were styled and furnished really well. The house had multiple braai and fire options as well as lovely view over the conservation area which was perfect for watching birds. We were also not far from the shops which proved to be quiet convenient. Would definetly recommend the Happy Cactus to friends.

We really enjoyed the time together as a family of 8 adults and exploring Yzterfontein. The house served its purpose.The beach, the people, the Bowls Club and the local Craft Beer and Bakery are all awesome in their own way! It was particularly pleasing to witness the bird life, see the recycling options in the center of "town" (including E-Waste) and renewable energy in use at the house we stayed at in the form of a solar paneled geyser, views of wind farms. The retail offering seemed to also have a special focus on health and wellness options. What we enjoyed about the house was watching the birds feeding on the big fig tree, the sounds of birds early in the morning and the location of the shops and beach. We loved having the option of the indoor fire to keep the house warm.Our Family was truly grateful for the later check out option offered by the owner, which seemed to make up for some of the house's shortcomings at the time.
